01 / About

Operator first. Engineer always.

At Omnatix I build practical AI and software for South African businesses. As COO I own how our products get made. As an engineer I still write the code that gets them there.

I lead product development and AI engineering across every Omnatix solution: prompt design, data architecture, and the end-to-end build of intelligent agents, along with the scope, security, documentation, and last mile to launch.

Before software, I spent five years in a 24/7 operations control room, running real-time monitoring and incident response. That is where I built the operational discipline I now bring to every product.

How I operate

Four rules I build and run by.

01

Ship it.

An idea is worth nothing until someone can use it. I scope tight, cut what does not matter, and get products into real hands.

02

Secure by default.

Row-level security, escaped output, locked-down rules, and POPIA controls go in on day one, not after the first incident.

03

Write it down.

READMEs, runbooks, and decision records, so the product outlives the person who built it and the next engineer starts fast.

04

Build for real people.

Small landlords, Grade 1 learners, grassroots clubs. Technology for the people who need it most, not only the people who can pay most.

02 / Flagship case study

Tenanto

In development, pilot 2026

Property management built for South Africa's small landlords, those with one to twenty units. A landlord app, an install-free tenant portal, and a marketing site, all running on one secure backend.

The brief

Give a landlord with a handful of units the rent tracking, maintenance workflow, and tax records of a professional agency, and give their tenants a portal they never have to install.

My role

Product lead and architect. I own the scope, the data and security model, the delivery plan, and the documentation, and I build across all three apps.

Architecture: three clients, one backend. Every request is scoped to the signed-in user by row-level security, so a landlord can only ever see their own properties.
Rent ledger

Rent due is generated every month. Mark it received and attach proof of payment.

SARS-ready expenses

Expenses filed under SARS categories and filtered by tax year, March to February.

Maintenance tickets

Tenants report issues with photos. Resolving a ticket with a cost logs the expense.

Signed inspections

Property inspections signed by both landlord and tenant, right on the phone.

One-click audit pack

A tax-season PDF generated on the server, scoped to the landlord's own data.

POPIA by design

Tenant data export and erase built in, sensitive numbers encrypted, every change audited.

EduAid Explorer

Student funding platform by Omnatix

Find every bursary you qualify for. EduAid checks learners against nine funders' published rules, works out admission points the way each university does, and checks suspicious payment messages for scams. Eligibility and scam verdicts come from rules checked by code, never AI, and personal details stay on the phone. The first version, a Copilot Studio agent, was entered in the 2026 Microsoft Virtual Agent-a-thon (EMEA).
